16 Days Left!

16 days and counting...literally. I have a chain in my room that i took a picture of but for some really weird reason it's not letting me add the picture...silly computer. So i apologize about the definite lack of blogging. It's been super crazy and i know that's no excuse but it's the one i'm gonna use :D. So i've been bugging my photographer to get my bridals done so i can see some pictures because i've been SO excited to see them. We were planning to go to memorial grove for bridals and we had to reschedule twice so finally when the weather still was bad we decided to just go inside. we went to the capitol and it was truly all i could ever hope for. I kept praying for good weather but Heavenly Father knew that i really didn't want good weather i wanted a beautiful rainy day so that i could have my pictures at the capitol. (which already had sentimental meaning because that's where Colin proposed to me so now it's even more special!) So today she got me one pictures and she said that she would put all of the proofs in the mail on friday so i should have them all by the beginning of next week. HOORAY!!! This was one of the pictures i was most excited to see-especially because it was one that took a lot of effort from me to get in the beginning. these doors are quite heavy and i had to hold them for what seemed like forever! but the picture turned out even better than i could've hoped for!!! I can't wait to see the rest!

I'll try to blog a little more (which shouldn't be hard seeing as i wasn't blogging at all) over the next two weeks and two days. Life's a little crazy right now and mom and i have occasional panic attacks but we're slowly and surely getting things done! Just as a recap of a few wedding things we've done that some of you may not know about-we painted the kitchen and our two rooms at the carter's and they look fantastic if i may say so myself! Bart has been doing a TON on the kitchen-he already has the floors in and i can't wait to see how it all comes out! he's awesome and he's making is so nice! Colin and i bought a couch, an end table and a coffee table from ikea on memorial day and we got it all set up (hopefully a picture of it will come soon). Other than that we're just getting ready for the big day!

51 Days!

So we finally got out engagement pictures back! So we went through about 200 pictures and mom and I found our favorite seven! So now it's your turn to vote because we're having a hard time trying to figure out which one we like the most :D

This one is my favorite option so far for the announcements!

61 Days!

It's official! We have made it over the hill and we're halfway through being engaged! (not that I don't enjoy being engaged but we're that much closer to being married!) This halfway point also marks the countdown to only 2 months left! It makes me mentally go through the list and make sure we're on track with getting everything ready. I'm pretty sure we've got the major stuff out of the way but there's still a lot of work to be done. This week we figured out a few more shower dates which will be lots of fun! We also went to the Carter's house and moved out the old appliances in their laundry room so that Bart can start to remodel it into a kitchen (well when he gets back from the Caribbean). We also figured out what rooms we're going to use for a bedroom and a living room. I'm a little nervous because we decided that we're going to try out the full size bed that's there right now. Hopefully we won't want to kill each other after a few nights of sleeping in it but at least we don't have to buy a bed if we like it!
So now it's just the long haul to the end of the semester. We just have 2 weeks of classes and then finals. I've got a 20 minute presentation and a test this week along with a few assignments so hopefully it won't be too bad of a week and I'll be able to start studying for finals. I think I've figured out a solution for my spring fever. I'm going to study outside in the yard or at a park so that I'm not dying to go outside all day while I'm studying! We'll see how it works. Sadly it'll probably snow or something this week just to put a damper on my thoughts that it's getting closer to summer!

65 Days!

Sorry again about the delay of writing. The days are definitely ticking down. We had a pretty eventful weekend. We went and got our engagement pictures done on Friday. We had a ton of fun taking the pictures, we loved our photographer (jessie alexis) and we really liked the location (the international peace gardens). I can't wait to see the pictures when they're all fixed up. We also got some of our pictures that Nicole took up in Idaho Falls. Here's some of our favorites:

Also, we got to have an amazing wedding shower with the Thorntons and Leeflangs. Everyone was amazingly generous. We got so much nice stuff and it made me so excited to decorate our new apartment!

Finally, we finally figured out the centerpieces (yay!) we're going to use black runner along the table with the VanRoosendaal's vases and a red candle and two bundles of roses on either side of it. We went to the ward yesterday and made sure it was the right size for the table and it looked great! One more thing off the list and one more day closer to the big day!

72 Days Left!

So I think we finally figured out the centerpieces! ...well maybe... it may not be the one seeing as we can't ever make a decision. But perhaps this will stick. It's a silver lantern with a red candle inside and then two small bundles of red roses on either side of it on the table. We'll have to put it all together on a big table to see if it is the right sizes and the right look but I hope that we can finally make a decision about it.
Also we've gotten all of our clothes ready for the engagement session-I just have to find the jewelry. Also I went out to the international peace gardens today. It was actually a really cool place. It seemed like it was kept up very nicely. The only thing I didn't like was that the flower beds were empty and the bushes were kinda dead but that's going to be a problem most places. But it seems like there's going to be a lot of really cool things that we can use to do out pictures!

74 Days Left!

We had a great weekend with conference and easter. Sadly I had to study a lot last night so I couldn't play games and such but now the test is over (for better or for worse). And now it's on to bigger and better things! Hopefully I'll be able to get a few wedding things done this weekend. The only thing I can think of that we did over the weekend was make some flower roses for the little girl's dresses and headbands. They were a lot of work but I think they're going to be adorable. Also my mom finished the front of our quilt and it looks amazing! I can't wait for the whole thing to be done!
So this week we have to figure out where we're doing our engagement pictures. We're looking at either the international peace gardens out in west valley or else gardner village. I'd love to know what everyone thinks about those two places or if anyone has more ideas let me know!!!

77 Days Left!

Hey guys sorry about the super super lack of postings! I wish I could say that I've been too busy to post (partially it is that) but I honestly just kept forgetting and when I did remember it was at the most inconvenient times. So...last week we went and registered which was a huge mark off of my to do list. Then we went up to Idaho Falls for Nicole's farewell which was so much fun! And last but not least my sister Joanna finally came home! It's been great to have her home so that she can be here to help me out with wedding stuff and more importantly just to be there to talk to and hang out with!
So the wedding things we've done other than registering...we took some awesome pictures up in Idaho Falls which turned out way cool! I can't wait to get the CD and go print them off. Nicole took us around and we had lots of fun just being crazy. We finally figured out the little girl dresses (i'd put a picture on of one but my computer is being fussy and not letting me) but basically sophie, laura, and sarah will be in white patterned dresses with a black and white polka dotted band around the waist and then amelia, anna, and julia will be in black and white polka dotted dresses with a white patterned waistband. and then all of the waistbands will have a red rose that joanna is going to make and the same rose will be on a headband that they all will wear. I'm so excited to see them all put together. oh and all of the dresses will have white toule with a little bit of fabric sewn around the bottom. more wedding stuff-we had fun planning the shower that is next saturday and it'll be fun to see what these things are all about!
Hopefully I'll be better about blogging!

88 Days!

Hooray I'm finally up to today! Today I just went through all of my college stuff and pulled out the stuff I knew I wouldn't use anymore. I took them to a girl in my home ward that is going up to USU next year. I also had a doctor's appointment...one on a long list. Oh and one more thing I started working on making the little flower clips for etsy.

89 Days!

Sunday: I went to a friend's homecoming and then just had a nice relaxing day with Colin and the family.

90 Days!

Saturday: Mom and I went and got the plaques for my ancestor pictures and we also went and got the pattern for my cross-stitch.

A finished version of the pattern that mom is going to make.

I didn't like the colors that came in the pattern so we chose different colors. Hopefully they all work out together!

I also had the region activity that my ward was in charge of. It ended up going pretty well. We didn't have quite as many people as we wanted but I think it was successful!

91 Days

Friday: I didn't go to school...instead I decided to start my spring break early. It was fun to be able to go to post press and work with Colin although I was completely confused of what we were doing in the beginning and I had no idea how that operate the machinery. Luckily Colin was patient and put up with all of the mistakes I made.

The papers we were collating:

92 Days!

K sorry about the delay of writing. It's been a bit of a crazy weekend. So I'll just kinda recap each day. Thursday I took my last of a long line of tests. Mom also made a skirt and a dress for the wedding to see if it is exactly what we want. I love the skirt and we're working on the little girl dresses to make them perfect!

93 Days!

Sorry there are no pictures again...nothing much to report. I took my kinesiology test today and I felt pretty good about it. Now I just have to study for my last test before spring break that's tomorrow. So hopefully there will be more interesting things tomorrow seeing as it is basically my last day of school before spring break! HOORAY!!!
So the things that have happened other than school and homework today is that I cleaned at the Carter's and I had a lot of fun. I cleaned and polished her entire china cabinet and we cleaned all of the things inside. It was fun to learn about all of the things in it and just talk while we both cleaned. After that I went to REI and finally got another camelback water bottle because mine has been leaking. I got a really pretty gray-ish blue one that I really like and now it's not constantly getting me and everything around me wet. Also I went down to the tanning spot (yep sara the ghetto one) and I got a month pass to start getting tan for the wedding!

94 Days!

Nothing much today...just studying and tests...blah

95 Days!

Man I'm failing at doing this every day. But I do have a legit excuse because I was working and studying all day yesterday. But we did take a little break and head over to wing coop which is definitely on the top 3 places that I love to eat. Tastiest wings on earth!!! Plus who can argue with 50 cent wing days!

The damage done...

Purple lipped and sweating from the spiciness but oh so happy!

I didn't do anything wedding-ish yesterday and probably nothing will happen much this week because mom is out of town and school is a little insane.

96 Days!

Sorry about two blogs in one day but I'm trying to at least cover something for each day. Nothing major happened with wedding stuff today. The only thing was just talking to mom and making sure we were getting things done we needed too. Oh and something I didn't mention about yesterday was that we went to evergreen framing and picked out the frames for my geneology pictures (we're still waiting to see if Colin's will work out) and we also got the framing for the cross stitch mom is doing for me. I'm so excited for it! It's a gorgeous pattern that has love in different languages and it makes 100 times better that mom is going to be doing it! I can't wait!
Other things that happened today is that we went out to a friend's homecoming and I got to see a bunch of old high school friends. Hopefully Colin doesn't think they are too insane (then again he's used to me so they probably seem normal in comparison). We went to dinner at the Craigo's and had an amazing St. Patrick's day dinner and now it's just homework. I've got 3 big tests this coming week plus a 14 stake region activity to pull off but then it'll finally be spring break!

97 Days!

Sorry about the delay, yesterday was a bit crazy. Well mom and I went and got what I hope will be the last of the fabric that we need yesterday. We got the little girl's dress fabric and I think they're going to be adorable! It's black and cream-ish polka dots.

Also here's the fabric that we're using for the adult girl's dresses. It's my absolute favorite! Every time I have gone into JoAnn's it's the first thing I see and I'm so excited that we get to use it!

98 Days!

One more day down! So the happy news of the day is that we finally heard that we can move into the Carter's (after we get married of course).

The Carter's live close to 17th South and Foothill Blvd so we'll be super close to the U.

This room will most likely be our living room. (With a few changes)

These are the beautiful plans that my brother Bart has drawn up for the kitchen. It's going to be great!

This is what the future kitchen looks like right now so there's going to be a lot of work ahead of us but it'll hopefully be a good place to live. We hope that we'll be able to help them out at their house and at the same time have a nice little place of our own. I can't wait!

99 Days Left!

Nothing wedding today, however Colin and I went to Costco and bought a hair cutting kit. Be sure to notice my beautiful work as Colin definitely has a greatly diminished amount of hair. It was only my second attempt but this time it went much better because of the amazing new tools! Also we stuffed ourselves to the bursting point with the excellent cuisine at Costco...gotta love it.

Now we're just working on some homework (well Colin is...I'm distracted with blogging).

The Countdown is On!!!

So in case I didn't think I already had enough on my plate, I thought I would add another little (hopefully) thing. I figured out how many days were left until the wedding a few days ago and I decided that this would be a great way to let everyone know the little things I'm working on every day to get ready. I'll try to keep all of the posts wedding related but then again there are some days that either no wedding things officially happen or there is no way to take a picture of something. However I am going to try to post pictures and tell a little about how wedding things are going. Hopefully someone will read this besides myself...so here goes!
